Announcement and First Call for Papers

The 2nd International Sea Trout Symposium will take place in Dundalk, Ireland from 20th – 22nd October 2015.

The Organisers now invite expressions of interest from prospective contributors in submitting papers (both oral and poster) to be considered for inclusion in the formal programme.

At this preliminary stage, these should be limited to 300 words and include the following information: a) name, affiliation and contact details (telephone or e-mail) of the first author, b) a working title, c) a general outline of proposed scope and content of the main text and d) a statement of its relevance to future management. Each submission will be screened by the Editorial Panel. Please note that a formal abstract is not required at this stage.

The author(s) of proposals accepted for inclusion in the final programme will be issued with further guidance on the preparation of abstracts, manuscripts and oral presentations. It is intended that papers presented at the Symposium will appear in a suitable peer-reviewed publication.

While not a complete or exclusive list, we would welcome proposals relating to the following general topics:

  1. Marine Ecology & Migration.
  2. Freshwater Ecology.
  3. Life History Variation & Population Dynamics.
  4. Drivers for Anadromy.
  5. Stock Assessment & Monitoring.
  6. Evaluating & Addressing Threats.
  7. Socio-economic Importance & Value.
  8. The Application of Advances in Science & Technology.
